Are you looking for more fun things to do in Devon?
Devon is one of the most beautiful parts of England and one of the only counties in the UK with two separate coastlines.
In South Devon you have picturesque beaches like Dawlish Warren, Exmouth and Teignmouth, and in North Devon Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Westward Ho!
With Devon's beautiful moors (Dartmoor and Exmoor) and their tors, there is plenty of stuff to do for the adventurous outdoor type person.
If that's not you, don't worry, there is also a lot for those who want a more tranquil, cultural or heritage experience in terms of fun heritage and culture.

You may be wondering what other local attractions there are in Devon?
1. Take a trip on the Tiverton Horse Drawn Barge
Where: Tiverton, Mid Devon
No trip to Devon is truly complete until you've visited our Horse Drawn Barge in Tiverton. Relax as you are pulled gently along the Grand Western Canal and let your cares disappear as you take in nature and learn a thing or two about the canal.
Then have a snack in the Duck's Ditty floating cafe bar and if you're feeling energetic maybe even rent a rowing boat or canoe.
Whether you're visiting Exeter in Devon, or just across the border in Taunton (Somerset) the Tiverton Horse Drawn Boat, is almost equidistant from each. We're also conveniently placed on the main road to Barnstaple! We're open between April and October each year.

2. Walk along the Grand Western Canal
Where: Tiverton, Mid Devon
If you love a good ramble, the Grand Western Canal stretches 11 miles along the Mid Devon countryside and has become a stunning linear nature reserve for all to enjoy.

3. Diggerland Devon, Collumpton
Where: Collumpton, Mid Devon
If you're visiting Mid Devon with the kids (or grandkids) you may well have some young digger enthusiasts in your group. If you, or the kids, have ever dreamed of operating your own dumper truck then Diggerland Devon would be a fun next stop on your itenerary.
They give you a chance to hop into the hot seat of some real-life diggers, dumpers and other full-size construction machinery on 20 different rides. They even have a mini digger on the hunt for buried treasure, or have tenpin bowling with a twist!

4. Creally Theme Park
Where: Clyst St Mary, Exeter, Devon
Crealy Theme Park & Resort, located near Exter in Devon is a family theme park in Southwest England with over 60 rides, attractions, live shows, animal attractions and Sooty Land. If you have children and you're looking for exciting things to do near Exeter, then this should be on your list.

5. Tiverton Castle
Where: Tiverton, Devon
There aren't may buildings that evoke such a feeling of history as Tiverton Castle. Tucked away beside St Peters' church in Tiverton town centre, you'd be forgiven for missing it if you weren't paying attention.

6. Devon Railway Centre in Bickleigh
Where: Bickleigh, Mid Devon
Just outside of Tiverton in a village called Bickleigh, another popular tourist attraction is the Devon Railway Centre, which boasts a host of attractions and offers a unique railway experience, adding up to an interactive fun filled day out. With unlimited train rides around the centre, interactive model railways, indoor play shed, crazy golf and museums housed in old railway carriages, this is a fun day out for all the family.
7. Knightshayes Court (National Trust)
Where: Tiverton, Devon
Knightshayes Court, managed by the National Trust, has grand Gothic Revival architecture by William Burges, the Victorian visionary, a great post-war garden and 19th-century parkland. With it's acres of awe inspiring garden and park, surrounding the breath-taking Gothic Revival house, Knightshayes is a must see for anyone who loves the outdoors and exploring history and culture.

8. Killerton House, near Exeter (National Trust)
Where: Near Exeter, Devon
If you love the great outdoors and hertiage, then another place to visit in Devon is Killerton House. Killerton is another National Trust property, not unlike Tiverton's own Knightshayes. It is a cosy Georgian family home filled with all sorts of exciting things to discover and surrounded by a vast outdoor space to explore. As you wander through the stunning Killerton House, why not close your eyes and pretend the huge living rooms are all yours? There are grand staircases, stunning portraits and plethora of exhibitions, all of which are there to be explored by history lovers of all ages.
With beautiful woods and parklands, you will find plenty of places for any children in your party to play. Whether it's building a den, soaring up high on a swing, or exploring the their orchard which boats almost a hundred different varieties of apple tree!

9. Bear Town, Collumpton
Where: Collumpton, Mid Devon
After seeing our crew dressed up in traditional garb, your kids may be interested in playing dress up themselves, then Collumpton's Bear Town may be more your cup of tea.
Bear Town is a role play centre with plenty for your little children to do and see. The centre has 12 fun areas designed specifically for them to play in. Whether they want to be a police officer, a builder, a mechanic, postal worker, shop keeper or perhaps maybe a firefighter, the possibilities are only limited by the children's imagination. (Unfortunately, being a horseman isn't currently one of the options. So being a vet may have to suffice.)
Speaking of cups of tea, they also have a place for the grown ups to sit back and relax in while the kids run around.

10. Exeter Underground Passages
Where: Exeter, Devon
Hidden just below the surface of Exeter City Centre is a hidden world.
Exeter's Underground Passages were originally built to house the pipes that brought clean drinking water into medieval Exeter.
